Proximity Access Control

Proximity Access Control for Single Doors

Garrison proximity access control combines credential reading and door-control functions for stand-alone single-door installations. The category includes an EM model and a Mifare model. Select the credential technology first: similarly shaped cards or key tags do not establish compatibility with a reader.

EM Reader Functions

The LK-1030 EM reader operates at 125 kHz and lists capacity for 8,000 cards. Cards can be added, deleted and checked through its keypad. Its product page also lists card and PIN operating modes, retained memory after power loss and a doorbell push button.

Coordinate the Door Hardware

Compare the chosen model’s power requirements, unlock timing and output interface with the electric lock and power supply. Consider credential administration, mounting space and how users will enter. Stored memory does not mean that a reader or lock continues operating without electrical power.
