Auto-Door Sensor

Auto-Door Sensors for Automatic Opening Signals

Garrison auto-door sensors provide an activation signal for compatible automatic-door controls. The category lists SRE-301 and TRE-501 models. Select a sensor according to the required detection area, entrance geometry and controller interface rather than assuming all automatic-door sensors perform the same function.

SRE-301 Active Infrared Detection

The SRE-301 emits near-infrared light toward a focused surface and monitors the reflected level. When a person or object changes that level, its output relay activates. This operating principle is stated for SRE-301 and should not be transferred to TRE-501 without checking its documentation.

Separate Activation from Safety Functions

A door-opening signal is not the same as verified protective presence sensing. Confirm any required safety devices separately with the door-system supplier. Review mounting height, surface conditions, output contact requirements and power supply, then test the sensing area at the installed entrance.
